FullStack (Java) Developer
Job Description: Role As a Fullstack Developer, you will join a collaborative team where you'll learn from code reviews, participate in architecture discussions, and gradually grow your ownership of features. What your typical day would look like: You will report to the Babelway engineering Team Leader and contribute to the full development life cycle of Tradeshift Babelway's scalable and distributed cloud platform. Guided by more senior team members, you will implement new features, help improve the first-time user experience, and participate in support tasks for other teams and customers. You will work on messaging components, modern interfaces, and integrations with third-party systems — and you'll learn the ins and outs of architecting, building and deploying a highly scalable cloud system. You will actively leverage AI coding assistants (such as GitHub Copilot or similar tools) to accelerate your development, improve code quality, and tackle challenges beyond your current experience level. Qualifications. You're a great fit for this role if: You have an engineering degree, Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science — or equivalent experience — and a working knowledge of Java, which remains our core technical foundation. You don't need to have all the answers yet, but you need to be genuinely excited about building clean, effective solutions and growing fast. You are a team player with an open personality, curious by nature, and comfortable both asking questions and making your case. You also have: Familiarity with any of the following is a plus: Javascript, jQuery, CSS, PostgreSQL, and Linux French and English knowledge. Dutch is an extra asset.
