The Sr Finance Analyst - Field provides advanced financial analysis and accounting support for assigned Areas, ensuring financial transactions are recorded timely and accurately in compliance with GAAP and SOX requirements. Reporting to the Finance Manager II - Field, this role partners with Controllers Group, Field management, and Region leadership to deliver insightful variance analysis, forecasting support, and decision support for operational and strategic initiatives. The Sr Finance Analyst - Field plays a key role in preparing period reporting, supporting annual planning, and driving process improvements that contribute to the organization’s financial integrity and operational efficiency. This position has been segmented as Remote Anywhere meaning the work is completed 100% remote anywhere in the U.S. except Hawaii or United States Territories. Responsibilities: Accounting & Reporting Support Prepare and review journal entries for accruals and reclasses during period-end close. Ensure timely and accurate recording of financial transactions in compliance with GAAP and SOX requirements. Assist with reconciliation of balance sheet in partnership with Controllers Group. Support field management with rebate accruals, RM tracker accuracy, and inventory exemptions. Perform ad-hoc accounting tasks as needed. Financial Analysis & Decision Support Conduct variance analysis versus business plan and forecast to identify trends, risks, and opportunities. Assist in preparing period-end narratives and assist with gap plan tracking. Track incentive programs and provide reporting to leadership. Support modeling and analysis for union market labor negotiations and annual wage increase (AWI) processes. Provide actionable insights and recommendations to leadership based on financial and operational data. Process Improvement Identify and support process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance within finance operations. Assist in the adoption of new tools, technologies, and best practices to streamline workflows and reporting. Contribute to cross-functional projects to drive strategic initiatives, share best practices, and deliver measurable business outcomes. Team Collaboration Work collaboratively with Finance Manager I - Field, Sr Financial Analysts - Field, Finance Manager II - Field Supply Chain, Finance Manager II - Field Commercial and other team members to achieve department objectives. Other duties as assigned by manager. Relationships: Internal: Finance Manager II - Field, Finance Manager I - Field, Sr Manager, Finance - Field, VP Field Finance, Region VP Operations, Region VP Finance, Sr Director, Area Finance Leaders, COE, cross-functional Support staff External: External auditors, customers, vendors, Third Party Managed Services Minimum Qualifications: 3 years of financial analysis and/or accounting experience Strong proficiency in Excel and financial planning platforms (e.g., Anaplan) Experience with accounting, budgeting, and variance analysis Excellent communication and presentation skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field Preferred Qualifications: Financial analysis and/or accounting experience in a multi-site environment Experience in distribution industries Understanding of regional financial structures and shared service models This role will also receive an annual incentive plan bonus.
