Software Engineer, Maritime
Description:
- Empathize with end users and deliver solutions that balance user needs with external constraints in a multi-stakeholder environment.
- Own software-enabled solutions deployed to customers and optimize for end-user value.
- Implement software that extends current platform capability and supports future architecture and capability evolution.
- Contribute to existing software services and develop reusable components across multiple Anduril product lines.
- Develop software that runs on and off robotic platforms using a variety of technologies.
- Build and iteratively enhance vehicle and mission software, including testing, monitoring, and operations across the full lifecycle.
- Create test and simulation fixtures that support software-in-the-loop and hardware-in-the-loop workflows.
- Support vehicle manufacturing and deployment.
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team.
- Travel to co-locate with end users or other teams up to 20% of the time.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Professional experience as a Software Engineer in one or more relevant domains or technologies.
- Systems and/or application programming experience including algorithms, data structures, concurrency, scaling, testing, and software design.
- Experience troubleshooting and analyzing remotely deployed software systems.
- Ability to work across the software stack through design, implementation, operation, and sustainment.
- Ability to learn quickly and grow toward the standard of a Senior Software Engineer.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
- Experience delivering military mission systems is preferred.
- Experience writing backend services or embedded software in C++, Rust, and/or Go is preferred.
- Experience writing frontend applications using TypeScript and React is preferred.
- Experience with horizontally scaled cloud technologies is preferred.
- Experience with embedded software, particularly robotics, is preferred.
- Experience with modeling and simulation is preferred.
- Experience developing high-assurance, safety-critical software is preferred.
- Experience across the product delivery lifecycle, including manufacturing, system acceptance, deployment, and sustainment, is preferred.
- Familiarity with Systems Engineering concepts is preferred.
