Remote Senior Buyer - Strategic Sourcing
Our client, a dynamic and expanding organization, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Remote Senior Buyer to join their procurement team. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within the US. You will be responsible for leading strategic sourcing efforts for key direct and indirect materials and services, driving significant cost savings and optimizing supplier relationships. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of procurement best practices, excellent negotiation skills, and a proven ability to manage complex supply chains. Responsibilities include conducting market analysis, identifying potential suppliers, developing sourcing strategies, negotiating contracts, and managing supplier performance to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery. You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders across various departments to understand their needs and ensure procurement strategies align with business objectives. A meticulous approach to contract management, risk assessment, and compliance is essential. This role demands strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work independently and lead projects in a remote environment. Key Responsibilities: Lead strategic sourcing initiatives for assigned categories of goods and services. Conduct thorough market research and supplier analysis to identify best-in-class partners. Develop and execute negotiation strategies to achieve optimal pricing and contract terms. Manage supplier relationships, monitor performance, and conduct regular business reviews. Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define requirements and align procurement strategies. Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities and process improvements. Mitigate supply chain risks and develop contingency plans. Prepare and present sourcing recommendations and performance reports. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. 5+ years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or category management. Demonstrated success in negotiating complex contracts and managing supplier performance. Strong analytical skills and proficiency in procurement software and tools. Excellent understanding of supply chain dynamics and market trends. Effective communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills for remote work.
