3D Animator (Remote) – Junior Contract
This role focuses on advanced body and facial rigging for a 3D character model to be animated in Maya 2025 and exported or rendered in Unreal Engine 5. The project requires detailed rigging suitable for hand-keyed animations, with an emphasis on adult anatomy, as the content is intended for an adult audience. Reference materials and examples will be provided at the start of the project. The position is fully remote, short-term, and offers the potential for future collaboration on similar projects.
Responsibilities
- Create advanced body and facial rigs for 3D character models in Maya 2025
- Ensure rigs are optimized for hand-keyed animation workflows
- Prepare rigs for seamless export or rendering in Unreal Engine 5
- Collaborate with project stakeholders to meet specific anatomical and animation requirements
- Review and implement feedback to achieve high-quality, production-ready rigs
- Maintain clear documentation of rigging processes and deliverables
Skills And Requirements
- Proven expertise in Maya 2025, with a strong portfolio of advanced skeleton and facial rigging
- Experience preparing rigs for Unreal Engine 5 pipelines
- Deep understanding of human anatomy, especially for adult character models
- Ability to work with sensitive or adult-themed content in a professional manner
