Based on Experience. Founding Software Engineer (Staff/Principal Level - 100% Remote) $175000 - $230000 per year | Chicago, IL | Remote | Permanent We are a pre-seed startup building an AI assistant that helps consumers save time and money on healthcare, focusing initially on medical bills. A bit about us: We're on a mission to create an AI assistant that empowers consumers to save time and money in healthcare, starting with medical bills. Our AI assistant simplifies the complex process of identifying and resolving medical billing issues, reducing the stress and effort consumers face when dealing with providers, insurers, and bill collectors. Thanks to AI and evolving healthcare regulations, we can automate this process and support individuals throughout their healthcare journey. We are looking to hire a Founding Software Engineer who has proven experience in collaborative startup environments and is ready to be a technical leader. This role is equivalent to a Staff/Principal Engineer level, so we are looking for candidates who are coming from Senior/Lead type roles or have at least 6-10 years of professional experience. Our AI assistant analyzes medical bills, detects errors, and aids in resolution through emails, faxes, letters, and voice assistance. Behind the scenes, we tackle:

• - Data integration from various sources.
• - Human interactions via dynamic forms and AI across multiple platforms.
• - Workflow orchestration for rich human-in-the-loop interactions.
• - Real-time predictions using complex decision trees.

Our tech stack includes:

• - TypeScript monorepo for versatility and type safety.
• - A unified front-end using React-Native + Web / Tamagui for cross-platform UI.
• - A consolidated data GraphQL server.
• - Docker and Pulumi for secure AWS infrastructure.
• - Temporal for orchestration.
