Key Responsibilities:
As a Customer Service Specialist II, you will be responsible for providing advanced clerical work, including operation of a personal computer, and public contact work in providing information regarding a variety of arenaflex operations. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing a professional and courteous response via telephone, in person, in writing, and online
- Answering telephone calls and directing them accordingly
- Typing letters, reports, forms, and correspondence
- Maintaining records and reports on a personal computer
- Performing data retrieval and entry into a software application
- Performing other clerical functions as needed, such as processing mail, filing, and scanning
- Providing customer service functions in support to the Animal Services - Pet Services team
Essential Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:
- High school graduation or possession of an acceptable equivalency diploma
- One (1) year of experience in customer service duties involving frequent public contact
- Experience in the operation of a personal computer required
- Ability to maintain records and prepare reports
- Ability to meet and deal with people effectively
- Ability to use a personal computer and related software
- Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions
- Ability to learn the procedures and operations of the unit to which assigned
- Ability to type accurately on a personal computer
- Ability to communicate with others in person, via telephone, in writing, and online
- Ability to read for comprehension
Preferred Qualifications:
While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:
- Bilingual English/Spanish
- Experience in a customer service role in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of standard office methods and procedures
- Knowledge of business English, spelling, and arithmetic
- Knowledge of County departments, operations, and regulations
