Job Summary

As a Customer Service Associate at arenaflex, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, processing transactions, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. You will be the first point of contact for our customers, and your friendly and approachable demeanor will set the tone for their shopping experience. You will also be responsible for:

  • Registering sales on assigned sales register, providing customers with polite, friendly, and efficient checkout service
  • Drawing in customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services
  • Settling customer issues and answering questions to ensure a positive customer experience
  • Modeling and offering customer service best practices with all colleagues to deliver a unique and wonderful customer experience
  • Providing customers with polite, friendly, quick, and professional help
  • Recommending products for sale to customers and suggesting upsell and cross-sell opportunities
  • Registering customer purchases on assigned sales register, collecting cash and dispensing change as required; processing voids, returns, delays, discounts, and exchanges as necessary
  • Maintaining counters and retail areas clean and well-organized, taking stock, and keeping records
  • Checking in and pricing stock as required or as directed by senior supervisor or shift leader
  • Executing organizational resource protection methods to identify and minimize loss
  • Ensuring compliance with state and local regulations regarding controlled items (e.g., tobacco and alcohol products)
  • Developing and maintaining displays, including promotional, seasonal, and special displays, and completing resets and changes as directed
  • Assisting with the separation of food items (e.g., raw foods from pre-cooked) and product placement as determined by procedures/systems (e.g., raw and frozen meats on bottom shelves)
  • Having working knowledge of store systems and store equipment
  • Providing customer service in the photo area, including digital identification photo service, banner print and creative machine, and interesting sell of special photo products
  • Taking on web pickup responsibilities (screens orders in Picture Care, handles orders (picks items), and delivers orders to customers as they arrive at the store)
  • Assisting with external and internal support by ensuring a clean, neat, and systematic store condition and appearance
  • Conforming to all organizational policies and procedures; maintaining respectful relationships with colleagues
  • Completing special tasks and other assignments as allocated

Essential Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree

  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English (except in Puerto Rico)
  • Ability to work an adaptable schedule, including nights and weekend hours
  • Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a point-of-sale system
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

* Six months of experience in a retail environment

  • Previous work experience with arenaflex
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English (except in Puerto Rico)
  • Eagerness to work an adaptable schedule, including nights and weekend hours
