Job Summary
As a Benefits Customer Service Associate III, you'll be responsible for handling complex customer inquiries on our marketed health insurance products, including re-rate and complex claims, as well as life insurance products. You'll act as a resource, taking complex calls, providing customer service, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner. Your exceptional communication skills, product knowledge, and problem-solving abilities will make you an invaluable asset to our team.
Key Responsibilities
* Answer incoming customer calls and respond to customer requests, answering complex questions and interpreting policies, rules, and regulations
- Provide quick, professional, and precise resolution to customer issues and questions
- Enter customer requests into our data system, open and dispatch work orders to various departments, and complete call history
- Handle customer requests via fax, email, or voicemail within 24 hours or 1 business day
- Understand basic telecommunications and provide an advanced knowledge of products and functionality
- Research and resolve customer issues, providing accurate and timely responses
Supervisory Responsibilities
This role does not have supervisory duties, allowing you to focus on delivering exceptional customer service and support.
Education and Experience
* High school diploma or equivalent required
- 0-2 years of experience in customer service or a related field preferred
- In lieu of the above education requirements, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
- Up to two years of post-high school training in a specialized trade, technical school, or college
Functional Skills
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
- Insurance background, including knowledge of health insurance terminology, is preferred
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are required

* No certification, license, or registration is required for this role
