About the Role
As a Physician Assistant at arenaflex, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where you will be able to utilize your clinical skills and expertise to provide high-quality patient care. You will be responsible for:
- Providing comprehensive, evidence-based care to patients, including precise evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and management of medical conditions
- Conducting patient assessments and developing treatment plans in collaboration with other healthcare professionals
- Ordering and administering vaccinations and injections, including COVID-19, flu, TB, and Depo
- Providing patient education and counseling on healthy lifestyle choices, disease prevention, and management of chronic conditions
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records and communicating with patients and families to ensure seamless care transitions
Key Responsibilities
* Provide comprehensive, evidence-based care to patients, including precise evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and management of medical conditions
- Conduct patient assessments and develop treatment plans in collaboration with other healthcare professionals
- Order and administer vaccinations and injections, including COVID-19, flu, TB, and Depo
- Provide patient education and counseling on healthy lifestyle choices, disease prevention, and management of chronic conditions
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and communicate with patients and families to ensure seamless care transitions
- Perform administrative tasks, including opening and closing the clinic, managing inventory, and processing patient payments
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care
Essential Qualifications
* Graduate degree-level Family Nurse Practitioner program with current National Board Certification and State of Practice licensure to practice in the Advanced Practice Registered Nurse role
- Or in select states, a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (or other healthcare-related graduate degree or equivalent experience along with Four-year education in science in Physician Assistant Studies) with current National Board Certification and State of Practice licensure to practice in the job
- At least two years of clinically relevant experience or the same
- Complete the Spickard affirmation test within 30 days of employment
- Ability to speak and write in multiple languages, including but not limited to Spanish (dependent on market)
- Essential Life Support (BLS) certification, including but not limited to performing mouth-to-mouth and operating a Mechanical External Defibrillator (AED)
- Pass a FIT assessment and wear the provided respirator mask when required
Preferred Qualifications
* Under one year of work experience as a licensed provider, earlier student precepting experience with MinuteClinic is preferred but not required
- Training in a Family Nurse Practitioner program with a focus on primary care and population health
