Responsibilities:
As a Data Entry / Billing Clerk / Payroll Coordinator, you will be responsible for:
- Routing incoming and outgoing mail, including patient correspondence and billing documents
- Operating a computer to enter and retrieve data, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Recognizing and correcting mailing errors immediately, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of patient communications
- Providing exceptional customer service to patients and their families, using proper tact and discretion in handling inquiries
- Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines
- Performing data entry and billing tasks, including processing payments and resolving billing discrepancies
- Coordinating payroll activities, including processing payroll, managing employee benefits, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records, including patient files and billing documents
- Collaborating with other departments to ensure seamless communication and efficient workflow
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Previous office experience, preferably in a healthcare setting
- High School Diploma or GED
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency in computer software applications, including Microsoft Office and Google Suite
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
- Familiarity with HIPAA guidelines and regulations
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with medical billing and coding software
- Knowledge of payroll processing and benefits administration
- Certification in medical billing or coding (e.g., CPC, CMC)
- Experience working in a remote or virtual environment
Compensation and Benefits:
arenaflex offers a competitive compensation package, including estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation. A reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $16.00 to $19.64. The exact starting compensation will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, considering a wide range of factors, including skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
