Responsibilities

As a Customer Service Representative, you'll be responsible for:

  • Managing large volumes of inbound calls in a timely manner, ensuring that customers receive prompt and effective assistance
  • Following established communication scripts to handle various topics, while also using your critical thinking skills to resolve complex issues
  • Identifying customers' needs, clarifying information, researching, and providing solutions and/or alternatives to meet their expectations
  • Demonstrating adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to change tasks seamlessly without compromising efficiency or composure
  • Maintaining punctuality and attendance, with a strong focus on meeting deadlines and achieving performance goals
  • Providing positive and professional interactions with customers, while also accessing company and client resources to ensure accurate handling of calls
  • Cross-training as requested to expand your skill set and contribute to the team's success

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • At least 1 year of customer service experience, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional service
  • Previous experience in a call center or office environment is preferred, but not required
  • Strong customer focus, with the ability to adapt to different personality types and challenging situations
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in using technology to manage calls, access resources, and provide solutions
  • Previous remote work experience is a plus, but not required
  • Ability to type 35 words per minute accurately, with strong phone and verbal communication skills
  • A background check will be conducted in accordance with state and federal laws

Equipment and Software Requirements

To ensure a seamless and productive work experience, you'll need:

  • A reliable and secure internet connection with a dedicated high-speed connection (minimum 10 Mbps)
  • A dedicated work area with a desk, chair, electrical outlet, and direct LAN connection
  • A laptop or desktop computer with the following specifications:

+ Processor: Intel Core i5 5200 Series or greater + Memory: 8GB on Windows 8.1 / 10 64 bits + Screen Resolution: 1280x768 or higher, with dual monitors required + USB headset + Up-to-date antivirus software with a recent scan completed + Firewall enabled

Compensation and Benefits

As a Customer Service Representative, you'll enjoy:

  • Starting pay of $14/hour, with shift differential (extra $1/hr nights and weekends) and possible increase after 90 days pending attendance and performance
  • Paid training, typically 2 weeks from 9:00am-6:00pm Mon-Fri (EST)
  • Full-time status, with benefits eligibility after 60 days
