Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced and empathetic individual to join our remote team as a Healthcare Customer Service Representative. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for managing a steady volume of incoming calls, resolving member or provider concerns, and providing exceptional customer service. Responsibilities

As a Healthcare Customer Service Representative at arenaflex, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a steady volume of incoming calls regarding benefits from members, providers, and employer groups
  • Explaining and clarifying plans' policies and procedures
  • Actively attempting to resolve member or provider concerns, which may include contacting other appropriate parties to facilitate the resolution of such concerns and adequately documenting the information on the billing system
  • Investigating verbal complaints concerning billing, claims, or service rendered
  • Escalating complaints of service failures to designated departments for investigation
  • Maintaining current knowledge of Member Services policies and procedures
  • Performing other work-related duties as assigned

Requirements

To be successful as a Healthcare Customer Service Representative at arenaflex, you'll need:

  • High school diploma, GED, or college degree
  • At least 1 year of Call Center experience (preferred)
  • 1 year of face-to-face customer service experience
  • Knowledge of and prior experience in the Dental, Medical, or Managed Care industry (preferred)
  • Self-motivation, resourcefulness, detail-oriented, sense of accountability, and ability to work as a team player
  • Strong skills in organizational, time management, written and verbal communication, analytical, and problem-solving
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, and Internet Explorer
  • Effective communication skills over the phone
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
  • Successful completion of background check

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience in the healthcare industry

  • Knowledge of healthcare-related policies and procedures
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Equipment and Workspace Requirements

* We provide all equipment (computer, monitor, mouse, keyboard, headset, Ethernet cord, power cables)

  • You must have a home internet connection of 10 Download and 3 Upload Speed
  • You must be able to hardwire your work computer directly to your home modem via Ethernet
  • Ensure the available connection meets the minimum bandwidth requirements to perform your job function
  • Satellite internet and wireless internet are not acceptable
  • You must have a distraction-free and secure work environment (workspace must be clutter-free, free of distractions, no one is allowed in workspace during working hours, no writing utensils, or unauthorized electronics in the work area)

Training and Development

* Successful completion of a mandatory paid training program with 100% attendance

  • Training is 5 weeks classroom and 2 weeks nesting
  • Ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge

Compensation and Benefits

* Competitive hourly rate of $16 per hour

  • Medical, dental, and vision benefits available on the 1st day of employment
  • Paid time off is accrued after 180 days (about 6 months) of employment

Pay Transparency Laws

arenaflex is committed to complying with pay transparency laws in all locations. The estimated salary range for this role is $16.00/hour. In addition to base pay, this position may be eligible for a bonus or incentive. We provide a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, voluntary dental and vision programs, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO) or vacation and/or sick time.
