Job Summary
We're seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician to join our team in a hybrid role that combines data entry and intake responsibilities. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for creating patient profiles, processing orders, and managing incoming documents. Responsibilities
As a Pharmacy Technician at arenaflex, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Creating patient profiles and processing orders in a timely manner from electronic prescription and fax queues
- Requesting refill prescriptions as appropriate
- Managing incoming documents from the fax server
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
- Participating in ongoing education and training to stay current with industry developments and best practices
Qualifications and Requirements
To be successful in this role, you'll need to possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Good interpersonal skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and be flexible
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of medical terminology, including sig codes and Roman numerals, brand and generic names of medications, and general pharmacy terminology
- Ability to perform tasks accurately and efficiently when inputting information
- Licensed/registered pharmacy technician or as required by state law
- Basic math and analytical skills
- Intermediate typing/keyboarding skills
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications and skills are highly desirable:
- Previous experience in pharmacy or a related field
- Specialty pharmacy experience
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (PTCB) certification
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
