Duties and Responsibilities:
As a Customer Service Representative at arenaflex, you will be responsible for:
- Assisting in taking special orders for authorized merchandise, including items from mail order catalogs, and providing layaway services
- Resolving routine customer complaints and making refunds or exchanging merchandise for authorized patrons
- Checking merchandise for damage or ticket switching and ensuring sales receipts are present
- Contacting appropriate personnel to return merchandise to stock
- Requesting refunds and adjustments, as well as customer complaints that are unusual in nature, to higher-grade associates
- Maintaining records and logs pertinent to customer service transactions handled
- Keeping current catalogs and price sheets for authorized items
- Operating a cash register in accordance with established cash control procedures and being responsible for own cash change fund
- Completing daily cash reports and ensuring proper balance
- Carrying out the policy of courtesy and service, exercising tact, good manners, and courtesy when serving and assisting customers and fellow associates
- Responding to inquiries and providing assistance in a prompt and friendly manner
- Understanding that the customer comes first and actively seeking to become knowledgeable concerning store policies, merchandise sold, and services offered
- Performing other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
To be successful as a Customer Service Representative at arenaflex, you will need:
- 1 year of responsible experience in clerical, office, or retail sales store work, demonstrating the ability to perform satisfactorily in the position to be filled
- Study completed in a college, university, or junior college above the high school level may be substituted on the basis of one-half academic year of study for 6 months of experience
