Responsibilities

As a Remote Customer Service Representative, you'll be responsible for:

  • Answering inbound calls regarding billing inquiries, disconnect/reconnect, payment arrangements, budget billings, making payments, processing trouble and outage orders, move-in/out services, and assisting with My Account (online accounts)
  • Providing exceptional customer service and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Utilizing computer navigation skills to access and manage customer information, as well as multitasking to handle multiple calls and tasks simultaneously
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation, adhering to company policies and procedures
  • Participating in ongoing training and development to enhance your skills and knowledge

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • Prior call center experience, with a strong track record of excellent attendance and communication skills
  • Proficiency in computer navigation, typing (minimally 35-40 WPM), and multitasking
  • Ability to work overtime, including long hours, overnight, and weekends, in the event of a major storm impacting our service territory
  • Adherence to a 20-minute daily break and 1-hour lunch schedule
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions

Technical Requirements

For remote positions, the minimum internet speed requirements are:

  • Broadband internet connection (no DSL or dial-up)
  • Hard-wired connection required (no Wi-Fi or Wi-Fi hotspots)
  • Speed test results: 25 Mbps download, 20 Mbps upload

Camera Requirements

Cameras are required to be on during training from start to end of each shift (not including breaks and lunches).

Pay Range

The pay range for this position is USD $15.00 - USD $15.00 per hour.
