Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Customer Service Representative to join our team. As a Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for scheduling in-home visits with physicians or nurse practitioners, answering inbound calls from members, and resolving any scheduling issues or concerns. This is a high-volume, customer service environment, and you will need to be efficient, productive, and thorough in your interactions with our members.

Responsibilities

* Schedule in-home visits with physicians or nurse practitioners

  • Answer inbound calls from members and assist them with their inquiries
  • Ensure that appointments are scheduled accurately and resolve any scheduling issues or concerns
  • Work a flexible schedule that includes evening hours
  • Meet productivity and quality standards
  • Collaborate with other team members to achieve shared goals and objectives

Requirements

* High School Diploma or equivalent work experience

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • 1 year of work experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Outlook (create, edit, save, and send documents, spreadsheets, and correspondence)
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA requirements
  • Ability to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM local time from Monday - Friday
  • Ability to work occasional overtime or weekends

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience working in the healthcare industry

  • Experience working with Medicaid or Medicare
  • Experience working in a customer retention-focused role

Telecommuting Requirements

* Reside within the Eastern or Central Time Zone

  • Ability to keep all company-sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
  • Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
  • Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group-approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service
  • Ability to connect directly into the internet via a hard wire (either directly to a modem or router)

Soft Skills

* Ability to type and talk at the same time while navigating through multiple screens

  • Experience working in a metric-driven work environment
  • Experience using an auto-dialer system

Compensation and Benefits

* The hourly range for this role is $16.00 to $28.85 per hour based on full-time employment

  • Pay is based on several factors, including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc.
  • UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable
  • In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase, and 401(k) contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements)
