Job Summary
As a Data Entry Specialist at arenaflex, you will play a critical role in supporting our Commercial and Medicare Appeals and Grievances staff. You will be responsible for providing analytical problem-solving support, translating technical material, and responding to questions and concerns from a variety of employees and external business partners. You will also contribute to the research, evaluation, and creation of policies and procedures, and serve as the subject matter expert for Facets' customer service inquiry module and appeals module configuration.
Key Responsibilities
* Provides analytical problem-solving support to the Commercial and Medicare Appeals and Grievances staff
- Translates and/or interprets technical material for use in everyday appeals
- Responds to questions and concerns raised by a variety of employees in appeals, other Plan departments, and external business partners
- Carries out a variety of varied tasks related to job responsibilities, including meetings, biweekly reports, new developments, and so on
- Offers help to the division by assisting with investigating/settling specialty requests as mentioned by the executives and handles different obligations as allocated
- Contributes to the research, evaluation, organization, and creation of policies and procedures based on the identified training requirements
- Serves as the unit's subject matter expert for Facets' customer service inquiry module and appeals module configuration
- Prepares up-to-date, in-depth exercises and labs for new employees and supporting refresher training contributes to the training
- Assists in the preparation and evaluation of corporate and regulatory requirements for compliance with federal and state regulations
- Supports data validation and universe pulls through data analysis and reporting
- Serves as the department's subject matter expert for Medicare and commercial compliance activities
- Aides in the department's research and resolution of independent analysis-identified trends when requested by management
- Conducts peer reviews and documents findings as assigned
- Supports the audit and mentors new employees and employees undergoing cross-training at the desk
- Provides peers with functional training as dictated by workload
- Receives and analyzes performance metrics and other forms of communication from other departments, and provides assistance to external vendors to ascertain the impact on the department and the actions that are required
- Assists with programs for training and frequently communicates with training staff and management to share resources
- Demonstrates support for established company policies and procedures regarding service appeals
- Arranges any necessary additional materials and provides technical support for all PC and LAN systems, including Windows, the mainframe, MS Office, FACETS, PBM, and other systems that require access
Essential Qualifications and Responsibilities
* High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
- 2+ years of experience in data entry, regulatory compliance, or a related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate technical material for use in everyday appeals
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to respond to questions and concerns from a variety of employees and external business partners
- Ability to carry out a variety of varied tasks related to job responsibilities, including meetings, biweekly reports, new developments, and so on
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to customer satisfaction
- Familiarity with Facets' customer service inquiry module and appeals module configuration, as well as other relevant systems and software
- Strong technical skills, with the ability to provide technical support for all PC and LAN systems, including Windows, the mainframe, MS Office, FACETS, PBM, and other systems that require access
Preferred Qualifications and Responsibilities
* Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as business administration, health administration, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in data entry, regulatory compliance, or a related field
- Experience working in a healthcare organization or related industry
- Familiarity with Medicare and commercial compliance activities, as well as other relevant regulations and laws
- Experience conducting peer reviews and documenting findings
- Experience mentoring new employees and employees undergoing cross-training at the desk
- Experience providing functional training to peers
- Experience working with external vendors and providing assistance to external partners
