About the Role

We're not looking for order takers or content readers – we're seeking individuals who can engage with our customers on the phone, think critically in real-time, and have a genuine passion for helping others. If you're a people person with a love for pets, we'd love to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Connect directly with customers who reach out to us for various reasons, from finding their new pet to resolving issues with their orders.
  • Examine and resolve customer issues efficiently, think proactively, and schedule follow-up calls as needed to ensure issue resolution.
  • Work with empathy, attention to detail, persistence, sympathy, and thoughtfulness to deliver exceptional customer experiences and build strong relationships with customers and colleagues alike.
  • Be open to learning and growth, and participate in a culture of continuous improvement and development.
  • Collaborate with partners, your immediate supervisor, and other colleagues across various levels of the organization using virtual collaboration tools like Zoom, Slack, and webcams to foster a customer-centric culture of teamwork and cooperation.

What You'll Need:

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • 2 years of customer service experience, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and listening) in a written evaluation.
  • The ability to multitask (e.g., handle a phone call while researching on the computer and taking notes) and perform well in a high-speed environment.
  • Proficiency in using computers, both for data entry and navigating through systems and the web to find information to support our customers.
  • The ability to adapt to change with the business needs of the organization.
  • Flexibility to adjust your schedule and work beyond 40 hours as needed by the team.
  • The ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive customer information.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • The ability to pass a background check.

Technical Requirements:

To ensure a seamless customer experience, you'll need:

  • A dedicated workspace that's large enough to accommodate a computer screen and is free from distractions, including background noise that may impact the customer experience.
  • A webcam-friendly workspace.
  • A reliable, high-speed internet connection (30 Mbps+ download speed/10 Mbps+ upload speed). You can test your internet speed at speedtest.net or by contacting your internet service provider.
  • A wireless or tablet device that can be used for two-factor authentication through Okta Confirm. Options include:
    • A smartphone or tablet on which the Okta mobile app can be downloaded.
    • A phone that can receive SMS messages and calls.
