Job Summary

As an Experienced Front End Pharmacy Technician at arenaflex, you will play a vital role in our pharmacy team, working closely with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to ensure the accurate and efficient dispensing of medications. Your expertise in data entry, customer service, and communication will be essential in providing exceptional patient care and supporting the overall success of our pharmacy operations.

Day in the Life

As a Front End Pharmacy Technician, your day will be filled with a variety of exciting and challenging tasks. Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Performing order entry tasks and collaborating with pharmacists to ensure accuracy and efficiency in the medication dispensing process
  • Providing exceptional customer service to patients, families, and healthcare professionals, responding to their needs and concerns in a timely and professional manner
  • Triaging customer service requests by department, urgency, and information/response required
  • Calculating and/or verifying correct dosage based on prescriptions
  • Assisting in reviewing narcotic prescriptions to ensure timely processing
  • Providing dispensing pharmacists with information regarding allergies and drug interactions, therapeutic duplications, and other items that the computer flags
  • Creating and maintaining accurate customer records

Required Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • Certification/licensed/registered pharmacy technician or as required by state law
  • One (1) or more years of experience as a pharmacy technician or working in a call center

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, we welcome candidates with:

  • Prior experience in the long-term care industry
  • PTCB National Certification
  • Education: Verifiable High School Diploma or GED
