Senior Marketing Manager
Job Title Senior Marketing Manager Reports to Marketing Director (with dotted line to Commercial Director) Brand New vertical (separate brand within the NEXT.io group) Location Remote / Malta / New York (regular travel required) Start Date As soon as possible — target June 2026 About NEXT.io NEXT.io is a B2B events and media company that produces industry-leading summits, editorial content, research, and networking experiences. We are launching a new vertical focused on an emerging fintech and data sector, sitting at the intersection of data science, technology, and real-world forecasting. We produce editorial content, research, newsletters, and live events that bring together the operators, investors, regulators, and technologists who are building this space. Our audience spans finance, crypto, technology, and policy. This is a ground-floor opportunity. You will be one of the first hires in a brand that is being built from scratch, backed by an established events and media group with a proven track record of scaling B2B properties internationally. We are launching a new vertical within the group focused on an emerging fintech and data sector. This role is dedicated to that vertical. The Role We are looking for a Senior Marketing Manager to own the marketing function for a new vertical brand within the NEXT.io group from the ground up. You will be responsible for building awareness, growing an engaged audience, driving delegate acquisition and sponsor visibility for our events, and establishing this new property as the authority brand in its space. This is not a support role. You will operate as the marketing lead for the brand, working closely with the editorial team, the commercial team, and senior leadership. You will have significant autonomy and the opportunity to shape how a brand-new property goes to market. You will report to the Director of Marketing with a dotted line to the Commercial Director, ensuring alignment with the wider commercial engine. What You Will Own Brand Building and Audience Growth Build the new vertical’s brand presence from early stage to recognised authority in its target market. Develop and execute social media strategy across LinkedIn, X, and other relevant platforms. Grow the vertical’s newsletter subscriber base through organic and paid acquisition. Identify and pursue content partnerships and distribution opportunities with fintech, crypto, and data-focused media outlets. Ensure all marketing activity reinforces the vertical’s positioning as a fintech and data brand. Event Marketing Own the full marketing lifecycle for the vertical’s events: pre-event awareness, delegate acquisition, on-site brand experience, and post-event engagement. Plan and execute multi-channel campaigns to drive registrations and ticket sales. Coordinate with the events and production teams to ensure marketing and brand consistency across all event touchpoints. Develop sponsor-facing marketing materials and ensure sponsor visibility commitments are delivered. Digital Marketing and Performance Plan and manage paid media campaigns across social, search, and display channels. The vertical operates in a space where paid advertising is less restricted than in regulated industries — a significant advantage to exploit. Manage email marketing campaigns including event promotions, newsletter growth, and lead nurture sequences. Own SEO strategy for the vertical’s website, working with the editorial team to ensure content is optimised for organic discovery. Track and report on all channel-level performance: reach, engagement, traffic, conversion, and cost per acquisition. Commercial Alignment Work closely with the commercial and sales teams to ensure marketing campaigns support sponsor acquisition and ticket revenue targets. Support lead generation through gated content, downloadable reports, and registration funnels. Contribute to commercial pitch materials where marketing data and audience insights strengthen the sponsor proposition. Agency and Vendor Management Brief and manage external marketing agencies where engaged, particularly for US market campaigns. Evaluate and recommend marketing tools, platforms, and partnerships.Apply To This Job
