We are looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist to add to our growing HR Team in Europe and be part of a supportive team who believe in Aiming High, Owing it and Being True, living our values as part of our daily working life. In this role you will be responsible for all payroll and benefits administration for our 2 legal entities in Italy currently comprising approximately 75 employees and 1 legal entity in Spain of 25 employees. You will provide all information to the external payroll bureau and other relevant partners, complete all post payroll journal entries and processing and will be the main point of contact for any payroll and benefits queries either internally or externally. We continuously strive to simplify and improve our processes and the service we provide to the business so great ideas are always welcomed. Location: Italy, remote working. Your tasks Ensure timely and accurate input of all payroll and benefits information to the external payroll provider Complete all journals required to provide relevant payroll data to the finance team Process all salary payments via the Company bank account ensuring treasury approval Ensure holiday, maternity, paternity, sickness and any other leave is properly reflected in payroll and Workday Keep up to date on payroll related matters including legislation changes, and applicable collective bargaining agreements Ensure compliance with any legal requirements Respond to enquiries from employees and/or external partners for any salary and benefits queries Ensure all statutory reporting requirements are met in line with any deadlines Ensure the timely and accurate provision of information to third parties, for example pension providers Identify ways to simplify and improve payroll processes Ensure the payroll manual is kept up-to-date at all times You as a person We are looking for someone with: Previous experience of payroll, ideally minimum 5 years Eye for detail and focus on deadlines Ability to build trusting relationships and role modelling our values, while working in a virtual setting Previous experience of Workday is highly desirable but not essential as we will provide full training in all aspects of the role. Self-starter and proactive approach, able to work independently and autonomously
