About Kodland 👨‍💻👩‍💻 Kodland is an international online school that helps children develop practical digital skills and learn how to use technology creatively and responsibly. We teach children aged 8–17, offering programs in Python, Roblox, Minecraft, Digital Creativity, and other modern digital disciplines. Kodland operates globally, working with students and families across Europe, the UK, the USA, CIS, Latin America, MENA, and other regions. All classes are delivered live via Zoom, in 1:1 or small-group formats, with a strong focus on project-based learning. What Does a Trial Class Manager (TCM) Do? 🎧 A Trial Class Manager (TCM) is responsible for delivering the very first online trial lesson and guiding families through their initial decision about learning with Kodland. During each trial session, you will: Meet the child and at least one parent via Zoom. Build rapport and ask targeted questions to understand the child’s background, interests, goals, and prior experience. Lead a short hands-on activity (simple coding, game logic, or digital task) using our prepared materials. Recommend the most suitable program and learning format, based on the child’s needs and engagement during the trial. Answer questions, handle basic objections, and guide the family toward a clear “yes/no” decision regarding enrollment. This role is a combination of: 🎓 Education — explaining concepts clearly and keeping the child engaged 🗣 Communication — listening carefully, asking the right questions, and adapting your approach to each family 💼 Sales — demonstrating value, discussing pricing transparently, and confidently closing when there is a fit ⚠️ Important to note: This is not a pure teaching role and not a scripted call-center position. You will be provided with structure, materials, and guidance — but you are expected to think independently, adapt to each family, and actively lead the conversation. 4. Requirements ✅ Must-haves Clear, confident spoken Arabic & English A reliable laptop or PC with a working webcam and microphone Stable internet connection suitable for uninterrupted Zoom video calls A quiet, professional workspace with your camera turned on Consistent availability of 20–25 hours per week during prime time (weekday afternoons/evenings + daytime weekend hours) Genuine comfort communicating with both children and adults Nice-to-haves Background in sales, customer service, customer success, tutoring, or coaching Any prior experience working with children and/or parents Experience working remotely and managing your own schedule independently 5. Schedule & Availability 🕒 When do TCMs usually work? Weekdays: primarily between 13:00–23:00 Egypt time Weekends: primarily between 10:00–20:00 Egypt time The standard setup includes 5 working days per week, with 1 weekday off, and 1 day off on Saturday or Sunday. Exact hours are negotiable, but consistent weekly availability is required so we can plan schedules in advance and reliably allocate trial classes. Typical workload progression The usual setup looks like this: After passing probation period: You start with 15 trial class hours per week, plus around 3 administrative hours (1:1s, team meetings, internal webinars) As you gain experience: Your schedule typically increases to 20 trial class hours per week, plus administrative hours Top-performing TCMs: Have the opportunity to increase up to 25 trial class hours per week 📌 Note: Administrative hours are paid at the same rate as completed trial classes. Availability & professionalism You set your availability together with your Team Leader in advance, and we expect you to honour the time slots you open, so families are not left waiting. That said, we understand that unexpected situations and force majeure can happen. We approach scheduling humanely and reasonably — the key expectation is professional communication in advance whenever changes are needed so that everything can be handled smoothly. 6. Compensation & Income Model 💶 This is an independent contractor role with performance-based income. Payments are made in EGP twice per month. 🔑 How Your Income Is Built Base Payment You receive a fixed payment for every completed trial class. Bonus Income You earn a percentage of your total monthly sales. The higher your conversion rate, the higher your bonus percentage. Current Model Base payment: 100 EGP per completed trial Revenue bonus: 3%, 4.5% and 6% of total monthly revenue (depends on your monthly revenue) 💰 What This Means in Real Numbers The examples below are based on real internal averages. 📌 These figures reflect a part-time role Early stage / newcomers ~ up to 400$ per month (base + bonus) Stable performers ~ up to 700$+ per month Top performers: can reach up to 1200$+ per month 💡 We actively support our managers with regular feedback and performance analysis, as well as ongoing training, webinars, and best-practice sharing. Our goal is to help you grow into stronger performance and, as a result, higher income. At the same time, it’s important to understand: income growth doesn’t happen instantly and depends on personal skills, learning speed, consistency, and effort. Progress comes step by step. Training & Hiring Journey 🧭 We don’t send you straight into real classes. There is a clear and structured training journey before you start working with real families. Your journey with Kodland: 1️⃣ This page + Application Form You carefully review this page and submit the application form at the bottom. 2️⃣ Recruiter Interview (≈20 minutes, Zoom) A short call to check your technical setup, English level, basic fit, and expectations. 3️⃣ Training Phase: Self-Study, Webinars & Practice You get access to our learning platform with all the core materials needed to succeed as a TCM. This phase includes: structured self-study materials, live webinars explaining the role, income model, schedule, and tools, practical sessions and guided role-plays with feedback. 4️⃣ Assessment Phase: Simulated Trial Classes You complete simulated trial classes with trainers and your future Team Lead to confirm you’re ready to work with real families. If needed, you may receive feedback and a second attempt. 5️⃣ Onboarding & First Real Trials You sign your contractor agreement, get access to all tools, and start your probation period with real families and clear performance expectations. ⏱ Timeline: The typical time from application to starting real trial classes is around 2 weeks, depending on training schedules and your participation speed. 8.
