Design Engineer (Instrument Panel & Console Floor) - Remote

YOUR ROLE Support the design and development of Interior Systems components, specifically Instrument Panels and Floor Consoles, by analyzing technical specifications, engineering drawings, CAD data, and Bills of Material (BOM) throughout the vehicle development lifecycle. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Purchasing, Vehicle Programs, Suppliers) to support RFQs, engineering changes, technical reviews, and benchmarking activities related to interior components. Develop basic to intermediate costing and “Should Cost” analyses, evaluating the cost impact of design decisions, materials (plastics, trims, assemblies), and manufacturing processes, while supporting cost optimization initiatives. Provide technical and cost-related input to support supplier negotiations, cost gap analysis, and commodity strategies using internal costing methodologies and databases. YOUR PROFILE Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Industrial, Automotive Engineering or related field. Minimum 3 years of experience in Engineering or Technical Design roles, preferably within the automotive industry. Experience in the design or development of Interior Systems, specifically: Instrument Panel (IP), Floor Console or Interior trim components and assemblies. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, specifications, and technical documentation. Strong interest and willingness to learn and perform Costing activities. Previous exposure to cost analysis, should-cost models, or technical costing is a plus. Advanced English proficiency. WHAT YOU’LL LOVE ABOUT WORKING HERE?
