Lead Partner - SME Risk
Purpose of the job: To help lead the SME Risk team to deliver Secondsight’s Health & Protection Proposition. Job summary: Reporting to the Head of Health and Protection, the role will involve leading the SME risk team, while also proactively managing an existing portfolio book, providing a high-quality consulting and advisory service to clients. The role will incorporate managing our PPA and working with the leading risk insurers. Key skills and personal attributes: · Deep experience in the group risk market as either an adviser or a supplier · Previous management experience either as a manager or team leader · Deep understanding of both life and Group Income Protection claims management · Excellent understanding of Protection and Healthcare products and the respective markets. · Proven track record of building rapport and developing strong relationships with clients and colleagues. · Ability to generate new revenue opportunities form existing clients, and to convert new prospects · Experience of dealing with client owners outside of the immediate team to establish credibility, gain trust, and generate client introductions. · Experience of negotiating with providers to secure best possible terms. Main Responsibilities: · As a Line Manager, to be directly responsible for the day-to-day management of the team including; effective resourcing, delegation of tasks, performance management (via monthly continuous performance reviews), development and engagement. Managing employee relation processes in line with FD policy with support from HR. · Assist the Head of Health and Protection in driving forwards Secondsight’s Health and Protection strategy, together with the Lead Partners for Corporate Risk, Corporate Healthcare and SME Healthcare. · Overall responsibility for a portfolio of protection schemes for a range of corporate clients, which will include: · Fact Find/initial advice calls · The preparation of quote specifications, review of quotations, negotiation with insurers and preparation of review/renewal reports. · Face to Face and telephone advice meetings with clients · Generating additional revenue opportunities · Answer and deal with inbound calls from clients, employees and benefit providers. · Adherence to the new business process for prospects · Ad Hoc project work which may include · Assisting Head of Health and Protection with Board reports · Any necessary catch up projects (e.g. for submissions or fees) · Drafting of technical articles and reports for compliance sign off About Us: At Secondsight we partner with HR and reward teams to design and deliver benefits strategies that help organisations attract, support and motivate employees while driving long-term business success.
