What You'll Do - You'll Make the Moment Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and develop new features for the Cracker Barrel mobile application. Work closely with designers to ensure that the user interface and experience align with Cracker Barrel's brand identity and standards. Develop and maintain the overall architecture of mobile applications, ensuring they are scalable, maintainable, and high-performing. Collaborate with backend teams to design and integrate with external APIs/data sources to provide dynamic functionality within the app. Provide technical guidance to development teams, mentoring and supporting engineers in best practices for mobile development. Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability. Assess and recommend mobile frameworks, tools, and platforms for cross-platform development (e.g., React Native, Flutter). Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency. Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications. Identify and correct bottlenecks and implement strategies for optimization, focusing on both frontend and backend components. Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization. Continuously monitor app performance and user feedback to identify areas for improvement and optimization. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of Mobile Architect experience Knowledge of CI/CD processes and tools. Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services. Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of modern Android and iOS architectural patterns. Experience with cloud message APIs and push notifications. Understanding of Google’s Android design principles and interface guidelines. Previous experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment. Proficiency in mobile programming languages (Swift, Kotlin, Java, JavaScript). Experience with cross-platform development frameworks (React Native, Flutter, Xamarin). Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and backend integration. Familiarity with mobile security best practices.
