Position: Dynamics Solution Architect Reports To: Director of Business Systems & Data Modernization Epoch Concepts LLC (Epoch) has been providing Market Research, Enterprise IT, and Cyber Security Solutions and Services to both commercial and government clients since 2006. We are a value-added reseller focused on overcoming organizational challenges with solutions that don’t just address problems but also create opportunities and competitive advantages. Our core capabilities cover three major areas: Services, Solutions, and Integrations. Based in Littleton, CO, Epoch works closely with industry leaders such as Cisco, HPE, Dell Technologies, Netscout, and Palo Alto, focusing on Federal Systems Integrators, USG, and Commercial Communities. Because of our strategic alliance with key distribution channels, Epoch is able to offer our customers access to over 2500 vendors. As a certified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), Epoch is a valuable sole source provider of technology products and services. Our employees are our greatest assets, and we take pride in recognizing their outstanding talents and efforts. Position Summary: The Dynamics Solution Architect will own architecture, implementation, and operational excellence for Dynamics 365 CRM and Dynamics 365 Business Central. This person will be the technical lead for D365 solutions across the organization — designing solutions, driving DevOps and governance, leading integrations (e.g., eOne/SmartConnect and custom APIs), and troubleshooting complex production incidents. This role also plays a key part in shaping the organization's future platform strategy, contributing domain expertise to inform architecture decisions and migration planning as we evolve our technology stack. Who you are: A technically strong, solutions-oriented leader with deep experience in the Microsoft Dynamics ecosystem and enterprise platform architecture. An architect who can design scalable, secure, and well-governed Dynamics 365 CRM solutions while supporting Business Central integrations. Skilled at translating business needs from Finance, Sales, and operations into practical, resilient technical designs. Experienced in building and managing DevOps pipelines, automated deployments, and environment strategies for complex D365 environments. Adept at designing and managing integrations using middleware and APIs while ensuring data integrity across systems. A hands-on problem solver who can troubleshoot complex production incidents, performance issues, and authentication challenges. A collaborative communicator who works effectively with technical teams, vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders. Driven by continuous improvement, proactively strengthening governance, documentation, and platform reliability as systems evolve. What you’ll do: Act as the lead and architect for Dynamics 365 CRM and Business Central solutions: define architecture, solution patterns, and integration strategies. Own DevOps and release processes for D365 environments: design and operate CI/CD pipelines, environment provisioning, automated deployments, rollback procedures, and release governance. Design and deliver complex integrations (middleware and custom APIs). Be the escalation point for vendor-managed integrations (eOne/SmartConnect, third-party connectors). Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents (Azure AD/OAuth token flows, authentication failures, performance bottlenecks, data integrity issues); coordinate with Microsoft and third-party vendors. Lead data strategy: migrations, ETL, data model design, dimension/financial mapping between CRM and Business Central, data quality and reconciliation. Drive security, compliance, and operational best practices. Establish standards: coding guidelines, automated testing, code reviews, branch strategy, and solution packaging for Dynamics/AL/C#/JS. Interface with product owners, Finance, Sales, and other stakeholders to translate business strategy into robust, scalable technical solutions. Contribute domain expertise to inform future platform architecture decisions and migration planning as the organization evolves its technology stack. Maintain system documentation, runbooks, architecture diagrams, and release/change logs. What you’ll bring: 7+ years of hands-on experience in the Dynamics ecosystem with 3+ years in a senior/lead or architect role. Deep technical experience with Dynamics 365 CRM: plugin development, custom workflow activities, custom actions, Power Platform integration, solution management, and entity modeling. Working-to-strong knowledge of Dynamics 365 Business Central (AL development, extensions, publishing, solution packaging, and integration with external systems). Deep BC expertise is a plus but not required — CRM depth and integration ownership are the primary focus. Proven track record designing and operating D365 DevOps pipelines (Azure DevOps), automated deployments, and environment strategies. Expert knowledge of Azure AD / OAuth / SSO for Dynamics and proven troubleshooting experience with token/connection/authentication issues. Experience building and operating integration architectures (eOne / SmartConnect preferred, or similar middleware such as KingswaySoft, Scribe, MuleSoft, Boomi). Strong development skills: C#/.NET, AL, JavaScript/TypeScript, REST/Web API, and T-SQL. Experience with data migration and ETL tools and patterns; strong data modeling skills. Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure (Azure services relevant to D365: App Services, Functions, Key Vault, Application Insights, Azure SQL). Excellent communication skills — able to lead cross-functional working sessions, present architecture, and translate business needs to technical design. Experience handling vendor & Microsoft support escalations for enterprise production issues. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience. Microsoft certifications: MB-600 (Solution Architect), MB-400 (Power Platform Developer), MB-800 (Business Central Functional Consultant), or current Dynamics/Power Platform certs. Experience with enterprise-scale, high availability / disaster recovery design. Prior experience with Power Platform governance (Power Platform Admin and Center of Excellence patterns). Experience with performance tuning of plugins, SQL optimization, and large-scale data loads. Exposure to modern web frameworks or API-first architectures (e.g., Svelte, Node.js, Cloudflare Workers, or similar) — valuable as the team evolves its platform strategy.
