Through podcasting and audio storytelling, MAP seeks to create conversations that inform, inspire, entertain, and deepen connection across communities. We believe audio is more than sound—it is atmosphere, memory, storytelling, and human presence. About PromiseStudios | Creative Media & Audio Storytelling PromiseStudios is MAP’s creative production division responsible for podcasting, film, audio storytelling, animation, visual media, and creative communications. Within PromiseStudios, PromisePod develops mission-driven podcasts and audio experiences designed to engage audiences through thoughtful storytelling, culture, education, and conversation. Role Overview MAP is seeking a Podcast Post-Production & Quality Manager to oversee the editing, polish, and audio quality standards of podcast productions across PromisePod. This role focuses on ensuring every episode reaches a professional, consistent, and listener-centered standard before publication. Areas of focus include:
- Audio editing quality

The ideal candidate understands that post-production is where raw recordings become compelling listening experiences. This is a production quality and audio excellence role focused on consistency, professionalism, and storytelling through sound. Core Responsibilities Post-Production Oversight
- Review and oversee podcast post-production workflows
- Support editing, sequencing, pacing, and final episode preparation
- Help ensure episodes meet quality and publishing standards
Audio Quality Control
- Review episodes for sound quality, clarity, and consistency
- Help identify and resolve issues including:
- background noise
- volume inconsistencies
- distortion
- pacing concerns
- technical audio problems
- Maintain quality standards across productions
Editing & Listener Experience
- Support creation of engaging and polished listening experiences
- Help shape episode flow, transitions, music placement, and pacing
- Ensure storytelling remains clear, cohesive, and emotionally engaging
Production Standards & Workflow Development
- Help develop quality-control systems and post-production standards
- Support editing guidelines and audio workflow organization
- Help strengthen long-term podcast production consistency
Cross-Team Collaboration
- Work closely with producers, editors, audio engineers, and publishing teams
- Coordinate feedback and revision workflows
- Support collaboration between creative and technical contributors
Publishing Readiness
- Help ensure episodes are fully prepared prior to release
- Support final review and approval workflows
- Maintain professionalism and production reliability across podcast releases
Qualifications
Required
- Experience in podcast editing, audio production, or post-production workflows
- Strong ear for sound quality and listener experience
- Familiarity with audio editing and production tools
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Alignment with MAP’s mission and dignity-centered values
Preferred
- Experience with podcast production or audio storytelling
- Familiarity with tools such as:
- Adobe Audition
- Audacity
- Logic Pro
- GarageBand
- Descript
- or similar platforms
- Experience with music editing, transitions, or sound design
- Interest in podcasting, journalism, storytelling, or creative audio production
Commitment
- Volunteer role
- Approximately 5–10 hours per week
- Minimum 6-month commitment required
- Remote / hybrid collaboration
