We are currently seeking a talented Strategic Credit & Fraud Risk Analyst to become a vital member of our Credit & Fraud Risk Finance group. In this role, you will be devoted to delivering fact-based, decision-driven, and high-impact Net Loss Provision forecasts and credit-risk-related insights. You will be challenged to design and develop deep analytics using advanced methodologies in forecasting approaches, while simultaneously performing data analyses, modeling, synthesizing conclusions, and communicating recommendations to key stakeholders and partners. As part of a highly skilled team with strong intellectual curiosity and within a collaborative environment, you will interact with and influence partners across the Finance organization and Credit & Fraud Risk divisions. This role offers broad exposure to senior leadership, including Chief Credit Officers, Finance Leadership, and Marketing management, providing invaluable experience for your professional growth. How You Will Make an Impact In this role, you will develop a deep understanding of Risk Management by evaluating strategic decisions, organizing profitability linkages between customer behaviors, fraud and credit provision, and driving credit-related analytical insights to key stakeholders including Risk, Collections, Marketing, and Finance teams. Your contributions will directly influence our business outcomes and strategic direction. Here's what you can expect to own:
- Economic Planning & Analysis: Lead the financial planning process on metrics that affect the net loss provision on a daily basis, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in our forecasting models.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Risk and Finance teams on cross-agency strategic projects by driving key analytics to inform business decisions and optimize performance.
- Insight Development: Drive awareness of data, insights, market, and portfolio trends across organizations and proactively identify opportunities for analyses that can enhance our competitive advantage.
- Thought Leadership: Provide thought leadership on initiatives across the Global Risk Finance organization to help arenaflex meet its long-term growth targets.
- Stakeholder Communication: Effectively communicate complex analytical findings to key stakeholders, translating data into actionable business recommendations.
- Model Development: Design, develop, and maintain sophisticated forecasting models using advanced statistical and machine learning methodologies.
- Risk Assessment: Evaluate credit risk exposures and fraud patterns to provide comprehensive risk assessments that inform strategic decision-making.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor portfolio performance metrics and identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.
What We're Looking For
Essential Qualifications
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field. Advanced degrees (MBA, Master's, or PhD) are highly preferred.
- Professional Experience: Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in financial analysis, credit risk management, fraud analytics, or a related field within the financial services industry.
- Analytical Skills: Strong proficiency in statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and forecasting techniques.
- Technical Expertise: Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and experience with programming languages such as Python, R, or SAS.
- Data Management: Experience working with large datasets and database management systems.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex findings to diverse audiences.
- Business Acumen: Strong understanding of financial statements, P&L management, and business strategy.
