Job Summary

We're seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Customer Service Advocate to join our team. As a Customer Service Advocate, you'll be the face of arenaflex, providing exceptional customer service to our members and helping them navigate the complexities of health care. You'll be responsible for responding to and resolving customer inquiries and issues, guiding and educating customers about health care topics, and providing support and resources to help them make informed decisions about their health care.

Responsibilities

As a Customer Service Advocate, you'll have the following responsibilities:

  • Respond to and resolve customer service inquiries and issues on the first call, identifying the topic and type of assistance the customer needs
  • Help guide and educate customers about health care topics, including benefits, eligibility, and claims, financial spending accounts, and correspondence
  • Contact care providers (doctor's offices) on behalf of the customer to assist with appointment scheduling or connections with internal specialists for assistance
  • Assist customers in navigating myuhc.com and other arenaflex websites, encouraging and reassuring them to become self-sufficient
  • Research complex issues pertaining to the customer's health, status, and potential plan options, navigating across multiple databases with confidence and compassion

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • High School Diploma / GED or equivalent work experience
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • 1+ years of customer service experience
  • Experience with computer and Windows PC applications, including the ability to learn new and complex computer system applications
  • Ability to work Monday - Friday, in any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 11:30am - 8:00pm PST, including the flexibility to work occasional overtime and/or weekends, given the business need
  • Ability to reside within the Pacific Time Zone
  • Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
  • Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
  • Must live in a location that can receive a arenaflex approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service

Preferred Qualifications

* Health Care / Insurance environment (familiarity with medical terminology, health plan documents, or benefit plan design)

  • Social work, behavioral health, disease prevention, health promotion, and behavior change (working with vulnerable populations)

Telecommuting Requirements

As a remote worker, you'll be required to:

  • Reside within the Pacific Time Zone
  • Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
  • Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
  • Must live in a location that can receive a arenaflex approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly range for this role is $16.88 to $33.22 per hour based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. arenaflex complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, arenaflex offers benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase, and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
