Job Responsibilities

As a Customer Service Trainee, you'll be responsible for:

  • Receiving, investigating, and resolving all customer inquiries timely and accurately
  • Handling customer service inquiries and problems via the telephone, chat, email, and TEAMS
  • Ensuring all customer communication is clearly documented
  • Educating callers to ensure resolution is achieved on first contact
  • Participating in required testing and training programs
  • Working independently under general supervision and collaboratively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Adhering to assigned schedules and working overtime as required

Key Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year of experience in a customer service support role
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Proficient oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Exceptional time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Independent, sound decision-making, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to talk and type simultaneously in a clear and concise manner while interacting with customers

Training and Development

As a Customer Service Trainee, you'll participate in a comprehensive 12-14 week training program that will equip you with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in this role. The training program will cover topics such as:

  • Customer service principles and best practices
  • Medicare and healthcare regulations
  • Communication and interpersonal skills
  • Time management and productivity techniques
  • Conflict resolution and problem-solving strategies

About the Role

This is a full-time position, and the working hours for the training period are 8:00 am – 4:45 pm EST, with one day on-site for the first half of training and multiple days on-site for the last half of training. After training concludes, work hours are in a weekly rotating shift, where you could be scheduled to work as early as 8:00 AM EST or as late as 9:00 PM EST. Must live in a 50-mile radius to Chattanooga.
