Job Summary
As an Experienced Data Entry Clerk at arenaflex, you'll play a critical role in supporting our operations team by accurately and efficiently entering data into our web-based systems. You'll work closely with our customers, colleagues, and stakeholders to resolve discrepancies and issues, and contribute to the development of our data management processes. Key Responsibilities
* Perform high-volume data entry work for received samples, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
- Accurately input and update existing records within our LIMS system, maintaining data integrity and consistency
- Troubleshoot problems with incoming samples, collaborating with colleagues and customers to resolve issues
- Work with customers to resolve discrepancies and issues, providing excellent customer service and support
- Assist with answering telephones and routing calls, ensuring timely and effective communication
- File and sort documents, maintaining a organized and efficient workspace
- Assist in the sample receiving area as needed, supporting the smooth operation of our laboratory
Supervisory Responsibilities
This role reports to the Operations Manager and does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Qualification Requirements
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; internships and research experience a plus
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Ability to read and interpret documents, including safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
- Basic math skills, with the ability to perform calculations and data analysis
- Valid driver's license required (for occasional travel to client sites)
Language Skills
* Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Fluency in English required; proficiency in Spanish a plus
Mathematical Skills
* Ability to perform basic math calculations, with attention to detail and accuracy
- Familiarity with data analysis and interpretation a plus
Reasoning Ability
* Ability to solve practical problems, with a focus on data-driven decision-making
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and instructions
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations
* Valid driver's license required (for occasional travel to client sites)
Physical Demands
* Regularly required to stand, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, and talk or hear
- Frequently required to walk, reach with hands and arms, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required, including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
Work Environment
* Regularly works near moving mechanical parts and with explosive material
- Regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risks of electrical shock
- Occasionally exposed to risk of radiation
- Moderate/low noise level in the work environment
