The Opportunity
As a Customer Service Representative at arenaflex, you will be part of our Cornerstone Brands team, which includes Grandin Road, Ballard Designs, and Frontgate. You will work remotely to assist customers with their orders and accounts by problem-solving, providing a distraction-free work environment, and offering additional products on each customer interaction. Your role will involve handling a high volume of inbound customer inquiries, confirming refunds, taking payments, placing orders, and analyzing account data. You will also have the opportunity for advancement and upward mobility across the entire arenaflex family of brands.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle a high volume of inbound customer inquiries via phone, email, or chat - Provide exceptional customer service, resolving issues and promoting products effectively - Work in a virtual environment with a set schedule and structured day - Communicate with a variety of customer styles, peers, and leaders - Navigate multiple systems and screens while assisting customers - Troubleshoot own technical problems (in partnership with IT when needed) - Available to work weekends, holidays, and additional hours - Meet or exceed performance metrics and quality standards
What You Bring
- Problem-solving and de-escalation skills to handle unique situations - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high call volume - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to learn and work in a virtual environment - Strong technical skills, including proficiency in multiple systems and software - Ability to sit for long periods of time - Follow arenaflex computer system requirements - Available to work a set full-time schedule, including one weekend day and one weekday off
Essential Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred - 1-2 years of customer service experience in a call center or retail environment - Strong problem-solving and de-escalation skills - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high call volume - Strong technical skills, including proficiency in multiple systems and software
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a virtual environment - Knowledge of retail and customer service principles - Familiarity with arenaflex products and services - Bilingual or multilingual skills
System Requirements
- Self-provided computer or laptop with a Microsoft Windows operating system, Windows 10 or newer, and no more than three years old - Headset compatible with arenaflex specifications (arenaflex reimburses $75 for headset) - High-speed internet connection (satellite, broadband, wireless, or dial-up services not permitted) - Webcam and ability to appear on camera for meetings and trainings
