Responsibilities

As an Overnight Call Taker (Customer Service Representative) at arenaflex, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional patient care and service to our customers. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Answering, screening, and directing calls for the entire company
  • Distinguishing the need for emergency transportation and pre-arranging transport for facilities while determining the level of care needed for patients
  • Arranging specialty and critical care transportation
  • Providing information and assistance for customer service inquiries as needed
  • Communicating with multiple departments and EMS personnel
  • Providing supportive information to customers to assist them in arranging appropriate transport
  • Developing effective solutions for customer service issues
  • Directing calls to the Flight desk as appropriate
  • Performing other duties as assigned

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications:

  • Pleasant, professional phone manner
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
  • Typing skills of 30 wpm or better
  • Ability to excel in a high-stress environment
  • Adaptability to frequently changing policies
  • Ability to learn policies and procedures for facilities and recognizing when to apply them
  • Medical background a plus
  • EMD certification required within 1 year of employment
