Job Summary
We're seeking an experienced Customer Service Senior Representative to join our team in Oliver Springs, TN. As a key member of our customer support team, you'll be responsible for delivering exceptional service to our customers, resolving complex issues, and providing expert guidance on insurance claims and policies. Key Responsibilities
As a Customer Service Senior Representative, you'll be responsible for:
- Delivering specific delegated customer service tasks assigned by a supervisor, including responding to inquiries from policy holders, providers, and others
- Providing expert guidance on insurance claims and policies, including interpreting policy provisions and determining the most effective response
- Resolving non-routine issues escalated from more junior team members, demonstrating a high level of professionalism and expertise
- Completing day-to-day tasks without immediate supervision, but with ready access to advice from more experienced team members
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation, including claim forms and supporting documentation
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders to resolve complex issues and improve customer satisfaction
- Participating in ongoing training and development to enhance skills and knowledge
Key Requirements and Technology Experience
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- 1-2 years of experience in customer service, insurance verification, or a related field
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interpret and follow policies, procedures, and written instructions
- Basic knowledge of Outlook, Excel, Word, MS Office, and SharePoint
- Ability to handle challenging situations in a professional manner, with a high level of emotional intelligence and empathy
- Willingness to work varying tasks and adapt to changing priorities
- High School diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field preferred
Preferred Qualifications
* Previous experience in the healthcare industry, with third-party benefits verification experience preferred
- Knowledge of healthcare pharmaceutical and services a plus
- Experience taking inbound and outbound calls (30 calls per day)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of energy and enthusiasm
