Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Customer Service Senior Representative to join our team in Oliver Springs, TN. As a senior representative, you'll be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, resolving complex issues, and providing expert support to our clients. This is a 06+ Months Contract opportunity with long-term potential, and we're excited to offer a competitive compensation package, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for growth and development.

Key Responsibilities

As a Customer Service Senior Representative, you'll be responsible for:

  • Delivering specific delegated customer service tasks assigned by a supervisor, including responding to inquiries, resolving issues, and providing expert support to policyholders, providers, and other stakeholders.
  • Responding to inquiries from policyholders, providers, and others for information and assistance, and performing research to provide accurate and timely responses.
  • Interpreting policy provisions to determine the most effective response to customer inquiries and resolving complex issues.
  • Mailing or routing claim forms and supporting documentation to various units for final processing.
  • Providing expert support to junior team members, resolving non-routine issues, and escalating complex cases to senior leadership as needed.
  • Completing day-to-day tasks without immediate supervision, but having ready access to advice from more experienced team members.
  • Anticipating needs and issues, and taking proactive steps to resolve them.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to understand and interpret policy provisions.
  • 1-2 years of experience in customer service, insurance verification, or a related field.
  • Basic knowledge of Outlook, Excel, Word, MS Office, and SharePoint.
  • Ability to interpret and follow policies, procedures, manuals, and written instructions.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle challenging situations in a professional manner.
  • Willingness to work varying tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in the healthcare industry, with third-party benefits verification experience preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience taking inbound and outbound calls (30 calls per day).

  • Knowledge of Third Party Insurance Carrier Processes.
  • Basic knowledge of healthcare pharmaceutical and services.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
