Consultant, Fundraising Services – Remote FundEd Strategies was launched in 2018 to support schools, education nonprofits, and small- to mid-sized organizations in starting, scaling, and sustaining their fundraising programs. We are a growing start-up fundraising consultancy, and one of the few specializing in education reform and charter schools nationwide. We’re searching for a strategic, relationship-driven Consultant, Fundraising Services to report to a member of the Management Team and manage a portfolio of school and nonprofit partners, leading institutional fundraising efforts through grant strategy, pipeline development, proposal writing, and donor engagement while contributing to a collaborative culture of continuous learning and innovation. To thrive as a Consultant, Fundraising Services, you should have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Public Policy, Nonprofit Management, Communications, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
- 4+ years of experience in grant writing, nonprofit fundraising, development consulting, education program leadership, or institutional giving within K–12 education, charter schools, or education nonprofits
- Demonstrated expertise in proposal writing, grant management, donor prospect research, CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Monday.com), and fundraising strategy development; familiarity with U.S. education funding landscapes (DC, LA, TX, GA, CO, NY, IN preferred)
- Ability to travel periodically for conferences and team retreats; strong English communication skills required, with experience engaging education stakeholders and nonprofit leaders in advisory or consulting environments
Your responsibilities as the Consultant, Fundraising Services, will include:
- Write, manage, and submit 8–10 monthly grant deliverables, including proposals, reports, LOIs, concept papers, budgets, and stewardship materials aligned with government, foundation, and corporate funders
- Conduct prospect research and fundraising analysis to identify, qualify, and prioritize funding opportunities across institutional and individual donor pipelines
- Develop and execute 12–24 month institutional fundraising strategies, including donor segmentation, pipeline management, campaign planning, and performance tracking
- Manage a portfolio of 3–5 education partners, leading project execution, maintaining deadlines, facilitating partner meetings, and ensuring high-quality, compliant submissions
- Strengthen fundraising systems, tools, and collaboration by leveraging data, AI-enabled workflows, and cross-team coordination to improve efficiency, accuracy, and outcomes

Why You’ll Love Working At FundEd Strategies: This is a full-time, completely remote position. Some travel for conferences and at least one annual team retreat may be required. Applicants should generally be available to meet with clients during standard East Coast business hours. More specifically, FundEd will offer the following benefits:
- Salary.
The full-time annual starting salary for this position is $70,000. Due to our commitment to internal parity within each position and across the company, we make our best and final offer when we extend one. We do not negotiate salaries.

Employees may be eligible for annual bonuses depending on company and individual performance.
- Tech Stipend.
