Position Overview The Billing Specialist – Clinic ensures timely and accurate reporting, invoicing, and collection of payments from clients and contracted locations. This role supports efficient billing and claims processing through collaboration with off-site billing agencies and internal teams. What You’ll Do
- Prepare, review, and submit insurance claims (electronic and paper)
- Ensure accurate coding and payer-specific compliance
- Track claim status, follow up on denials, and manage appeals
- Post and reconcile insurance and patient payments
- Generate and send client statements
- Address billing inquiries and assist with payment plans
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold HIPAA standards
- Use Excel and billing software to manage and report data
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the billing team
What We’re Looking For
- 2+ years of experience in medical billing or insurance claims processing
- Familiarity with CPT/HCPCS and ICD-10 coding
- Strong understanding of EOBs, ERAs, and denial management
- Proficiency with billing software and EHR systems
- Skilled in Microsoft Excel (formulas, filters, and pivot tables preferred)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving
- High School Diploma required; Associate degree or billing certification preferred
