As a key member of our Sleep Central Operations, you'll play a vital role in ensuring that patients receive timely and accurate support for their medical equipment needs. Job Summary:
As a Patient Care Customer Service Coordinator, you'll be responsible for contacting patients to discuss their medical equipment needs, taking orders, verifying patient information, and placing orders in a timely manner. You'll work closely with our team to ensure that patients receive the support they need to manage their health and treatment at home.
Key Responsibilities:
* Accurately transcribe patient profiles over the phone, including data entry and possible outbound calling
- Obtain medically necessary documentation
- Process patient orders through our Online Pharmacy system
- Resolve tracking issues and reschedule shipping orders for patients
- Troubleshoot problems based on patient input regarding the scope and/or magnitude of failure
- Verify orders are complete
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
* High school diploma or GED equivalent
- One to three years of related prior work experience in a team-oriented environment
- Strong customer service background preferred
- Ability to effectively communicate in English, both oral and written, with physicians, location employees, and patients
- Helpful, knowledgeable, and polite with a positive attitude
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in a variety of communication mediums
- Maintain confidentiality and practice discretion and caution when handling sensitive information
- Multi-task with attention to detail
- Ability to accurately perform simple mathematical calculations using addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Self-motivation, organized, time-management, and deductive problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Skills and Competencies:
* Proficiency in Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, and email transmission and communication
- Ability to navigate the internet and research
- Familiarity with office equipment, including fax machines, copiers, printers, phones, and computers
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
