Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Accessioner I/Medical Data Entry Specialist to join our team in Saint Paul, MN. As an Accessioner I/Medical Data Entry Specialist, you will be responsible for processing client samples, quality control samples, and proficiency samples, adhering to standard operating procedures (SOPs). You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work area, performing scheduled and as-needed maintenance procedures, and completing all documents accurately and neatly.

Responsibilities

* Process client samples, quality control samples, and proficiency samples, adhering to SOPs

• Maintain a clean and organized work area, equipment, and perform scheduled and as-needed maintenance procedures
• Complete all documents accurately and neatly, monitoring chain of custody and custody and control forms for completeness and acceptability
• Perform material handling duties, including supplying workstations with packaged samples to process, racks and bins to hold processed samples, removal of empty racks and bins, and stocking of other supplies necessary for the accessioning of samples
• Use independent judgment to decide how to process a wide variety of samples in accordance with applicable requirements, standards, and regulations
• Work with the pipetting department in a fast-paced environment, on your feet during shift, with lots of standing, sorting samples into runs, labeling uncapped samples, and handling errors as they come through
• Must be detail-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced production environment to meet established turnaround times

Requirements

* Receive on-the-job training

• Must be able to distinguish colors, including shades of colors
• Must be able to regularly lift, carry, and rotate/turn with up to thirty pounds
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Able to work independently under general supervision
• Able to work in a fast-paced production environment to meet established turnaround times
• Must be able to perform work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
• Required skills: Fast-paced environment experience
• Education requirement: HS or GED
