Job Summary
We're looking for a highly skilled Data Entry/Intake Pharmacy Technician to join our team in Buffalo, NY. As a Data Entry/Intake Pharmacy Technician, you'll be responsible for creating patient profiles, processing orders, and managing incoming documents from electronic prescription and fax queues. You'll work in a high-volume environment, requiring excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. Key Responsibilities
* Creates patient profiles and processes orders in a timely manner from electronic prescription and fax queues
- Requests refill prescriptions as appropriate
- Manages incoming documents from the fax server
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Collaborates with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
- Participates in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
- Adheres to regulatory requirements and arenaflex policies and procedures
Essential Qualifications and Responsibilities
* Good interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal, written, and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and be flexible
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of medical terminology (including sig codes and Roman numerals), brand and generic names of medications, and general pharmacy terminology
- Ability to perform tasks accurately and efficiently when inputting information
- Licensed/registered pharmacy technician or as required by state law
- Basic math and analytical skills
- Intermediate typing/keyboarding skills
Preferred Qualifications and Responsibilities
* Previous experience in pharmacy or a related field
- Specialty pharmacy experience
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (PTCB) certification
- Strong understanding of oncology pharmacy practices and regulations
Education
* High School Diploma or GED
- Licensed/registered pharmacy technician or as required by state law
- Previous experience in pharmacy or a related field
Experience
* Pharmacy Technician: 1+ years of experience
- Desired: Pharmacy Technician: 3+ years of experience
Skills and Competencies
* Pharmacy or healthcare-related knowledge
- Knowledge of pharmacy terminology, including sig codes and Roman numerals

- Basic math and analytical skills

Compensation and Benefits
* Starting salary from $22 per hour
