Job Summary
We're seeking an Experienced Pharmacy Customer Service Associate to join our team in Harrisonburg, VA. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, processing prescriptions, and assisting our pharmacists in the practice of pharmacy. Key Responsibilities
* Assist the pharmacist in the practice of pharmacy, under direct supervision, in accordance with state and federal regulations
- Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions
- Engage customers in a friendly and professional manner, responding to their questions and concerns
- Process prescriptions, including verifying patient information, checking for potential interactions, and dispensing medication
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medication lists and allergy information
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current on pharmacy systems, policies, and procedures
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless customer service and efficient pharmacy operations
Essential Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
- 1-2 years of experience in a pharmacy or retail environment, with a focus on customer service and prescription processing
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, pharmacists, and other team members
- Basic computer skills, including experience with pharmacy systems and software
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Availability to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends
