Job Summary

As a Pharmacy Technician I, Data Entry at arenaflex, you will play a vital role in supporting our pharmacy operations by accurately processing and managing patient data, prescriptions, and medication information. Key Responsibilities

* Accurately and efficiently process patient data, prescriptions, and medication information using electronic health records (EHRs) and other software systems

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including demographic information, medication lists, and allergy alerts
  • Verify patient identities and ensure accurate data entry to prevent errors and ensure patient safety
  • Assist pharmacists with medication dispensing, labeling, and packaging
  • Respond to patient inquiries and provide accurate information regarding medication usage, side effects, and interactions
  • Collaborate with the pharmacy team to resolve issues and improve workflow efficiency
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines and arenaflex's confidentiality policies

Essential Qualifications

* High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or higher in a related field preferred

  • Completion of a pharmacy technician training program or equivalent experience
  • Current certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or eligibility to obtain certification within 6 months
  • 1-2 years of experience in a pharmacy setting, with a focus on data entry and patient care
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities
  • Proficiency in electronic health records (EHRs) and other software systems, including Microsoft Office and Google Suite

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience with automated dispensing systems (ADS) and barcode scanning technology

  • Knowledge of medication therapy management (MTM) and disease state management (DSM)
  • Familiarity with arenaflex's pharmacy operations and systems
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff from diverse backgrounds
  • Certification in pharmacy law and regulations, or willingness to obtain certification within 6 months
