Job Summary
As a Pharmacy Technician I, Data Entry, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently processing patient data, prescriptions, and other pharmacy-related information. You will work closely with our pharmacy team to ensure that all data is accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities
* Accurately and efficiently process patient data, prescriptions, and other pharmacy-related information
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including demographic and prescription information
- Verify patient information, including demographics, insurance, and medication lists
- Process prescriptions, including filling, labeling, and packaging
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory of medications and supplies
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with the pharmacy team to resolve issues and improve processes
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines
Essential Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or higher preferred
- 1-2 years of experience in a pharmacy or healthcare setting
- Strong foundation in data entry and processing
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with electronic health records (EHRs) and pharmacy management systems
- Certification as a pharmacy technician (CPhT) or registered pharmacy technician (RPhT)
- Experience with data analysis and reporting
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
