Responsibilities

As a Ticket/Gate Agent at arenaflex, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing the check-in and boarding processes, ensuring that customers have a seamless and efficient experience.
  • Making gate announcements and ensuring that customers have the accurate travel documentation.
  • Physically handling baggage, which may involve tagging and lifting bags weighing up to 70 pounds.
  • Operating loading bridges and opening, closing, and securing aircraft doors.
  • Escorting unaccompanied minors and disabled passengers throughout the airport.
  • Scheduling based on operational needs, with shifts ranging from early morning to overnight.

Key Responsibilities Breakdown

* Check-in and Boarding Process: You will be responsible for managing the check-in and boarding processes, ensuring that customers have a seamless and efficient experience.

  • Gate Announcements: You will make gate announcements to inform customers of flight information, gate changes, and other important updates.
  • Baggage Handling: You will physically handle baggage, which may involve tagging and lifting bags weighing up to 70 pounds.
  • Loading Bridges and Aircraft Doors: You will operate loading bridges and open, close, and secure aircraft doors.
  • Customer Support: You will provide exceptional customer support, ensuring that customers have the necessary travel documentation and are assisted with any issues or concerns.
  • Scheduling: You will work a variety of shifts, including early morning, overnight, and weekend shifts, based on operational needs.

Requirements

To be successful as a Ticket/Gate Agent at arenaflex, you will need to possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: You must have a high school diploma or equivalent, such as a GED or high school equivalency.
  • Age and Authorization: You must be at least 18 years of age and have authorization to work in the United States.
  • English Proficiency: You must be proficient in English, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic Digital Literacy: You must possess basic digital literacy, including the ability to use computers and other technology.
  • Physical Ability: You must be able to pass a physical ability test (PAT) and be able to lift bags weighing up to 70 pounds.
  • Customer Service Assessment: You must pass a customer service assessment to demonstrate your ability to provide exceptional customer service.
  • Airport-Specific Requirements: You must be able to obtain a SIDA Badge and Customs Seal, as required by the airport.

Nice-to-Haves

While not required, the following qualifications and skills are highly desirable:

  • Previous Customer Service Experience: You have previous customer service experience, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
  • Airport Experience: You have experience working in an airport or similar environment.
  • Language Skills: You are fluent in multiple languages, including English.
  • Certifications or Training: You have certifications or training in areas such as customer service, conflict resolution, or first aid.
