Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Data Entry Specialist to join our remote team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately entering, updating, and maintaining sensitive patient and administrative data. Your contributions will ensure that our data systems support high-quality patient care and efficient operational workflows.

Key Responsibilities

Data Entry: Accurately input patient information, administrative records, and other health care-related data into our secure systems, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of sensitive data.

  • Data Verification: Regularly review and verify data for accuracy and completeness, making necessary corrections when discrepancies are found to maintain the highest standards of data quality.
  • Record Maintenance: Update and maintain electronic health records (EHR) and other databases in compliance with health care regulations and privacy standards, ensuring seamless data management and efficient clinical decision-making.
  • Quality Control: Collaborate with team members to conduct routine audits of data entries to ensure ongoing accuracy and reliability, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Reporting: Generate periodic reports from the data systems to support clinical and administrative decision-making, providing valuable insights to inform strategic business decisions.
  • Compliance: Adhere to HIPAA and other regulatory standards to protect patient confidentiality and data integrity, ensuring the highest standards of data security and compliance.

Requirements

Experience: Prior experience in data entry, preferably within the health care industry, is an advantage, but not a requirement. We are open to training and developing the right candidate.

  • Technical Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, data entry software, and electronic health record (EHR) systems, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail to ensure the integrity of sensitive data, with a strong focus on quality and precision.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills for clear and effective collaboration with team members, ensuring seamless communication and data exchange.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining high standards of accuracy, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Confidentiality: Commitment to maintaining patient privacy and adhering to HIPAA guidelines, ensuring the highest standards of data security and compliance.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certification or coursework in health care administration or data management is a plus, but not a requirement.
