As a Customer Service Advocate, you'll be the voice of arenaflex, providing exceptional support and guidance to our customers, and helping them make informed decisions about their health care. This is a full-time, remote position, requiring flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 11:30am - 8:00pm PST. You'll be working from the comfort of your own home, with the freedom to manage your work-life balance. However, you'll need to be available to work occasional overtime and/or weekends, given the business need. We offer 18 weeks of paid training, conducted virtually from your home. Our comprehensive training program will equip you with the knowledge and skills you need to succeed in this role. You'll learn about our products and services, as well as the latest industry trends and best practices.

Primary Responsibilities

As a Customer Service Advocate, you'll be responsible for:

  • Responding to and resolving customer service inquiries and issues on the first call, by identifying the topic and type of assistance the customer needs
  • Guiding and educating customers about the fundamentals and benefits of consumer-driven health care topics, to help them select the best benefit plan options and maximize the value of their health plan benefits
  • Contacting care providers (doctor's offices) on behalf of the customer to assist with appointment scheduling or connections with internal specialists for assistance
  • Assisting customers in navigating myarenaflex.com and other arenaflex websites, and encouraging and reassuring them to become self-sufficient

This role requires strong research and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to navigate multiple databases and computer systems. You'll need to be confident and compassionate in your interactions with customers, and able to provide clear and concise guidance and support.

Required Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A High School Diploma / GED or equivalent work experience
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • 1+ years of customer service experience
  • Experience with computer and Windows PC applications, including the ability to learn new and complex computer system applications
  • Ability to work Monday - Friday, in any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 11:30am - 8:00pm PST, including the flexibility to work occasional overtime and/or weekends, given the business need

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, we prefer candidates with:

  • Health Care / Insurance environment experience (familiarity with medical terminology, health plan documents, or benefit plan design)
  • Social work, behavioral health, disease prevention, health promotion, and behavior change experience (working with vulnerable populations)

Telecommuting Requirements

As a remote employee, you'll need to:

  • Reside within the Pacific Time Zone
  • Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
  • Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
  • Must live in a location that can receive a arenaflex approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service
  • All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to arenaflex's Telecommuter Policy

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly range for this role is $16.88 to $33.22 per hour based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors, including local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. arenaflex complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase, and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
