Key Responsibilities

As a Customer Service/Sales Representative at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for:

  • Providing fast, friendly service to customers, actively seeking out opportunities to assess their needs and provide assistance
  • Learning about products and services using our tools and resources, and providing information to customers to help them make informed purchasing decisions
  • Greeting, qualifying, recommending, and closing sales with customers in a professional and courteous manner
  • Maintaining the in-stock condition of assigned areas, ensuring that they are clean, shop-able, and safe
  • Providing a safe working and shopping environment by following all safety policies and standards, completing specified safety training, and reporting hazards or unsafe conditions to management
  • Working in cooperation with department supervisors and other associates to achieve sales goals and provide exceptional customer service
  • Participating in sales promotions, events, and training programs to stay up-to-date on products and services

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • 1-2 years of customer service or sales experience in a retail or sales environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers and colleagues
  • Strong product knowledge and a willingness to learn about new products and services
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
  • Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a point-of-sale system
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications would be a plus:

  • Previous experience in a sales or customer service role in the building or construction industry
  • Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards
  • Experience with sales software and technology, such as CRM systems and point-of-sale systems
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills, with the ability to communicate with customers in multiple languages
