Key Responsibilities
As a Shipping Lead and Customer Service Assistant, you'll be responsible for managing inventory, shipping, and receiving, while providing top-tier customer support. Your key responsibilities will include: ### Shipping & Inventory
- Create and manage shipping labels to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products
- Coordinate large and special orders, ensuring that all necessary documentation is complete and accurate
- Monitor stock levels and forecast demand to optimize inventory management
- Handle vendor returns and reimbursements, ensuring that all necessary paperwork is completed and accurate
- Conduct regular inventory counts and manage restocking to maintain optimal inventory levels
- Receive and inspect merchandise for accuracy and damage, ensuring that all products meet arenaflex's quality standards
- Track and process orders, both incoming and outgoing, to ensure seamless logistics
- Maintain accurate out-of-stock records and pricing updates to ensure that customers receive the most up-to-date information
- Support promotions and ensure OSHA compliance, maintaining a safe and healthy work environment
- Pack and kit boxes, as well as perform basic facilities tasks, to ensure that all products are properly prepared for shipping
### Customer Service
- Assist customers with product selection, usage, and information, providing expert knowledge and guidance
- Process purchases and returns, ensuring that all necessary documentation is complete and accurate
- Provide updates on specials and stock availability, ensuring that customers receive the most up-to-date information
- Respond to out-of-stock inquiries and suggest alternatives, ensuring that customers receive the best possible solution
- Escalate issues as needed, working closely with the Client Service Manager to resolve any customer concerns
- Accurately input customer data, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records
- Support the Client Service Manager in customer satisfaction initiatives, working to ensure that all customers receive exceptional service
### Operational Support
- Update website items and pricing, ensuring that all information is accurate and up-to-date
- Follow directions from the Client Service Manager and Ops Director, ensuring that all tasks are completed to the highest standard
- Attend team meetings and trainings, staying up-to-date on the latest developments and best practices
- Maintain awareness of workflows and priorities, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you'll need to possess the following qualifications: ### Required
- High school diploma or GED
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with customers and colleagues
- Computer experience, including MS Office and shipping software
- Basic math skills, with the ability to accurately calculate and manage inventory and shipping costs
- Ability to lift 40 lbs and perform physical tasks, with a strong focus on safety and ergonomics
- Flexible availability, with the ability to work a variety of shifts and schedules
### Preferred
- Stockroom or warehouse experience, with a strong understanding of inventory management and logistics
- Retail or gift industry background, with a strong focus on customer service and sales
- Customer service experience, with a strong ability to communicate effectively and resolve customer concerns
- Some college or trade coursework, with a strong focus on business, logistics, or a related field
