Job Summary
We're seeking an experienced Admin and Customer Service Support Specialist to join our distribution team on a temp-to-hire basis. As a key member of our team, you'll provide exceptional support to our General Manager, manage data, and communicate with customers to ensure smooth operations and exceptional service. Responsibilities
As an Admin and Customer Service Support Specialist, your key responsibilities will include:
- Data Management: Create and maintain accurate Excel spreadsheets with product data, update and maintain master product files, and manage product data in shipping portals.
- Customer Communication: Respond to customer and supplier inquiries, answer customer emails and phone inquiries, and provide prompt and courteous service.
- Order Management: Send invoices and shipment details, process returns, exchanges, and cancellations efficiently, and handle out-of-stock notifications for orders.
- Administrative Tasks: Print labels, reformat addresses for shipping, and perform general clerical and support tasks.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and train customer service team members, assign tasks, and balance workloads daily.
- Process Improvement: Develop and optimize customer service procedures, resolve escalated issues beyond staff level, and monitor and improve departmental performance metrics.
- Data Entry: Track and enter data for accurate billing and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- Experience in the Consumer Goods Field: Demonstrated experience working within the consumer goods industry, with a strong understanding of the industry's challenges and opportunities.
- Microsoft Excel Expertise: Expertise in Microsoft Excel, including the creation and use of complex formulas, and the ability to analyze and interpret data.
- Effective Communication: Proven ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a strong focus on customer service and relationship-building.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: A dependable team member with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions.
- Education: Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent; a College Degree is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
* Shopify Platform Experience: Familiarity with the Shopify platform is highly desirable, with experience in managing product data, orders, and customer communications.
- Leadership Experience: Previous experience in a leadership role, with a proven track record of supervising and training team members.
